Classes for Children
Our goal is for our young artists to both learn and have a great time doing it! With a small group of children, sparks of creativity can be seized upon and used as jumping-off points for greater exploration and expression. A child's meandering creativity is respected and hopefully enriched by our guidance. Our small classes enable us to teach real skills effectively. We have the time and freedom to stop and discuss a piece of art or a period in art history at the moment when it becomes relevant in a child's work.

Weeks 1-4 we will work together to create a large mural of an underwater scene. Using acrylic paint on paper we will fill our world with fish, anemones, mermaids, seahorses and dolphins. Weeks 5 and 6 we will each work on our own large canvas to create a mysterious woodland scene in which creatures peek from behind trees and burrow in the undergrowth.
